I am a Stage & Event Technician based in the UK. I am avaliable for freelance work alongside my flexible employment as a Technician at the Ipswich Regent & Corn Exchange.

A large part of my work comes from working at Ipswich Borough Council's two busy recieving venues, The Ipswich Regent & Ipswich Corn Exchange, employed as a Venue Technician, Stage Manager & Crew Chief.  Working alongside touring shows and promoters, solving any problems and helping to make the production happen whilst taking resposibility for the in house crew and venue both before and on the day of the event. The role involve various technical and backstage duties from initial contact dealing with riders through to closing the truck doors. The Theatre and Corn Exchange have a busy schedule of shows ranging from touring theatre and rock n roll to comedians and orchestras. This work also involves working within the IBC Events team at a range of large public events taking on the roles of Site Co-ordinator & Stage Manager.

I regularly work alongside the Theatre Royal - Bury St Edmund's technical team as a Theatre Technician. Giving technical assistance to both incoming and in-house productions. With duties ranging from building & flying set and cloths to rigging and operating lighting & sound.

I also often work in a corporate and conference enviroment with TM Services, W1 Productions and Quarteus providing support for a full technical package specialising in lighting but including sound, video and camera operation. This has included working as a lighting technician for the annual Skoll World Forum at the Oxford New Theatre and a range of BT events at their Global Headquarters for Research & Development including their Innovation event.

Away from the stage I work with Midas Productions & Gofer installing & maintaining temporary production and site power systems for large outdoor events to BS7909 standard. This involves everything from power generation to end distribution to create a complete system.

I have extensive experience of shows & events at various venues, arenas and stadiums across the country. I have been involved with the build, running and takedown of various large scale productions including AC/DC, Coldplay & Beyonce at Wembley Stadium, Take That, Justin Bieber & Adele at the O2 Arena and The Who at the SSE Arena. I have also worked numerous times in smaller venues including Hammersmith Apollo, Brixton Academy, Cambridge Corn Exchange, Oxford New Theatre, Kings Lynn Corn Exchange and The Spa Pavillion and fully understand the challenges they create.

Over the summer I join the UK festival circuit working large outdoor festivals and concerts including Reading Festival, V Festival, BBC Radio One's Big Weekend and British Summer Time. Working both show calls and overnight changeovers I have been involved with headliner performances for Metallica, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Muse, Rhianna and Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour in Hyde Park.

As well as stage production I also have experience in large scale stage scaff & steel builds including working with Serious Stages as a Builder/Climber at Latitude Festival.
